Earl Grey Tea Cake


Ingredients:


Tea Cake


2 bags Earl Grey tea

1/3 c milk

1 c butter softened

3/4 c sugar

4 eggs

1 c flour

1 tsp baking powder

Icing

2 bags Earl Grey tea (or reuse the ones you used for the cake)

1/4 c milk

1 1/2 c powdered sugar


Steep tea bags in hot milk about 10 minutes. Cream butter and sugar. Mix in milk and eggs. In a separate bowl mix flour and baking powder. Add to wet ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350.


For the icing:

Steep tea bags in hot milk again for about 10 minutes. Combine all icing ingredients and drizzle over cooled cake. Serve with coffee or of course Earl Grey tea.
