A Fall Take on a French Classic

I was super excited when Nestle Toll House asked me to be a part of their community!! They sent me 4 different types of morsels to use, so I had to get baking!!! You know Gateau au Yaourt (French yogurt cake) is one of our favorite go-to recipes, so I thought I’d try a fall twist on this dense delicious cake. Instead of the typical strawberries or chocolate chips I added in butterscotch chips and chopped apples. Here is the original recipe if you missed it earlier:

Ingredients

2 6oz containers of plain Greek yogurt (use containers for measuring the rest of the ingredients)

2 eggs

2 containers of sugar

1 tsp vanilla

just under 1 container of vegetable oil

4 containers of flour

1 1/2tsp baking powder

*Add in 2 containers of butterscotch chips and 2 chopped apples. The secret to a moist cake is to chop your apple into small pieces.

Preheat oven to 375.

Combine wet ingredients. In a seperate bowl combine dry ingredients. Mix together the dry and wet ingredients. Add your add-ins last. It’s delicious just plain too though. Pour into greased 9 inch round pan or loaf pan.

It says bake 35 minutes but I find mine takes more like 50-60 minutes. It‘s done when a toothpick comes out clean.

*Drizzle caramel on top top for an even sweeter treat!

Happy fall baking!!!🍁🍁🍁
