šIn Kentucky we are known for our HORSES and our BOURBON!! Thatās why I decided to make these Keeneland cookies for the October meet!! š š„ (P.S. Can anyone guess why I kept this 2007 betting ticket??š)ā
I used the traditional @nestletollhouse chocolqte chip cookie recipe (which is the best recipe!) and added in some bourbon, bacon and caramel!! š„ š„ š« ā
Traditional Recipe:ā
2 1/4 c flourā
1 tsp baking soda ā
1 tsp saltā
1 c butterā
3/4 c sugarā
3/4 c brown sugarā
1 tsp vanillaā
2 eggsā
2 c Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet morsels ā
Add in: ā
6-8 pieces crumbled crispy baconā
2 T bacon fat rendered from cookingā
1 T bourbon (more if you like a stronger flavor)ā
1 c Nestle Tollhouse Sea Salt Carmel morselsā
Combine wet ingredients and dry ingredients in separate bowls. Pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix. Add your add-ins. Place spoonfuls on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 min at 375. ā
Enjoy and good luck at the races!!!! š ā
